Fall 2014 Architecture Studio | Heavy Air in Tianjin, China
Minneapolis firm, RSP Architects, designed a residential development with a commercial district in Tianjin, China. Using this initial project, we explored architectural needs of China under pressure of the future pollution. This bike club becomes a destination for all Tianjin leisure bikers. The building integrates itself within a series of bike paths designed by RSP. The studio was challenged by the international interface and controversially contribution to the mass urbanization of Chinese cities. As the site was predetermined, the building project designed comprehensively.
